Bitten

Posted By DesignRchic on Oct 24, 2008 at 6:11PM

I'm not sure if any of you have experienced this but last week hubby and I had bite marks on our ankles. Then the next night, I noticed more bite marks on my upper arm. Then I noticed more behind my knees. They're not mosquito bites either. They're really small dots that are itchy. They don't have the appearance of welts. We thought at first that they might be bed bugs because our son doesn't have them. But then we asked about bug bites, someone told me that bed bugs only occur in really bad and filthy situations  Is this true? Can bed bugs occur in clean environments?

Have any of you had a problem like this? Ugh, I'm getting the heebie-geebies just talking about it.

For Animal Lovers

You know I'm not into the whole FW: emails thing but this was too cute not to share.

"A fawn followed this beagle home -- right through the doggie door --
in the Bittinger, MD area. The owner came home to find the visitor
had made himself right at home. This hit the 6 o'clock news big time.
Sure beat out the McCain/Obama political news for a change. "

Did anyone see this during last night's Red Sox Game?

Posted By DesignRchic on Jun 6, 2008 at 8:30AM

Holy Smokes!!!!!! Lots of cheap shots by the Rays if you ask me. And then to see Youkilis and Ramirez get into an altercation in their own dugout!! Did I miss the full moon?

FYI

Posted By DesignRchic on Feb 20, 2008 at 10:10AM

Can you guys believe that Easter falls on March 23rd this year? How does that happen? My nieces asked me if I was coming up to Maine to see them for Easter and I said sure! Then I looked at the calendar and realized that it's a month early this year.

Who should plan my babyshower?

Posted By DesignRchic on Jan 14, 2008 at 11:18AM

Hey mommies, I need some advice in a forum I created last week. Although flattering, I'm already getting overwhelmed by family members and friends about my baby shower and I'm not sure what to do. Go check it out and please advise.

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger...Weirder

Posted By DesignRchic on Dec 18, 2007 at 12:43PM

Not sure whether this would be characterized as either funny or plain old weird. Needless to say, these girls have A LOT of time and aluminum foil in their hands. As cheesy as it was I could not help but finish watching it.

Why I love my Boston Red Sox

Posted By DesignRchic on Oct 29, 2007 at 6:45PM

UPDATE:
Papelbon was on Letterman 2 nights ago:

Well for one:

Papelbon's Irish Jig. Nuff Said! He'll be doing it tomorrow at the Rally if you all wanna come up/down to Boston. ;) I mean really, what other team celebrates like this?

Two of the Red Sox players are cancer survivors. Mike Lowell, who won the MVP for the World Series, battled testicular cancer.

Jon Lester who pitched the World Series winning game last night battled with lymphoma.

Both of these men are truly and inspiration to us all.

David "Big Papi" Ortiz tries to get us to do the wave and pump us up. But the way Papi say's it is "I wan't ya'll to do tha way" We were like whaaat? Then I realized what he was saying. :ROTFL: I love the Latino accents!
I was actually at this game. Same one as the Papelbon Irish Jig dance.

Rookie Jacoby Ellsbury: the second Native American to play on a baseball team, is one of the hardest working players on the team and executed some major plays that advanced us to the championship.

Ladies, he's single!

Manny Ramirez: The man just makes baseball look soooo easy. Everytime he hits a homerun, he points both hands up, pauses, then runs the bases. He's just Manny being Manny!

Josh Beckett: Whenever he starts a game, I'm confident we'll win the game. PLUS, he's a fire starter.
 I'll never forget the fight he almost started with Kenny Lofton. :ROTFL:

Another reason why I love the Red Sox is our traditional Sweet Caroline sing-a-long before the 8th inning. By this time, all of the fans are plastered, and double fist their beers, since the stadium doesn't serve anymore alcohol after the 7th.
This is my personal video from the ALDS Game 2:

You can sort of hear me slur the words in the background. :SING:
